As Justin Timberlake has been telling us for years.. "It's gonna be May." And it is. Today marks the first of May, which is also Harper & Sky's birthday!
One thing is for sure.. heading into our third year of business has taught us so many things. We are beyond blessed for the opportunity to get to wake up every morning doing what we love, and connecting with so many amazing people from all over the world.
But we also know how difficult the road to achieving your goals can be. That's why we were super excited to team up with Erin from All-Inspired Wellness on a really special Wellness Wednesday Tip: How to set monthly intentions.
These can really be anything. Allowing yourself time to sit down and think about the things that are important to you and deciding how you want to spend your time, and coming up with an action plan for how to make it happen is vital for any kind of success. We're not just talking big success, either. We're talking about your everyday happiness and learning how to go after the things you want. So..without further adieu, here are some tips from Erin on how you can create your monthly intentions!
How to Create your Monthly Intentions
Wanting to create monthly intentions but don't know where to start? Break them down into categories to stay focused and well-balanced all month long.
I like to have: 3 goals, 2 habits, 1 skill, and lastly a mantra (quote) to remind myself of daily.
By creating these subsets of intentions, we're more likely to follow through with them as opposed to a typical laundry list of goals. These categories also help us isolate the areas of our lives where we desire the most growth.
Before starting, I recommend writing down some things you're grateful for, as well as areas of your life you'd like to improve. These can be anywhere from wellness-related goals via mental/spiritual/physical health, to financial, familial, or relationship goals. Remember it's important to create intentions that will bring YOU joy and fulfillment, NOT ones that develop out of urgency or what society expects of us.
What we focus on, grows. So make sure your intentions are being set from a place of contentment/love and enjoy the journey getting there.
