It's a model takeover kind of day! We've said it before and we stand by it 150% that we have some of the best ladies on our team, and today's introduction is no exception. Maggie has been modeling with us since 2017, and we're so blessed to have such a powerhouse reppin' H&S. We sat Maggie down in the hot seat and asked her the same questions we asked Savannah. You can see Maggie's responses below!
What’s your passion in life?
While I’m passionate about many things, including a good cup of coffee, nice glass of wine, and Touch Tunes, my biggest passion lies in helping others. I’ve been a health coach for over a year, and in that time, I’ve developed a nonprofit entitled “Trauma Queens,” which is dedicated to helping survivors of sexual trauma heal their bodies & minds in the wake of assault utilizing holistic methods like movement & meditation. I’m currently studying for the LSAT to prepare for law school; my hope is that I can one day defend those who feel voiceless. Oh, and I wasn’t kidding about the coffee thing — I’m currently also a barista at 392 Caffe. 🤓☕️
Who is your biggest inspiration & why?
Alongside all the important women in my life (my mom, my sisters, my grandmother, my best friends), the women who are running for office right now (and winning!). I want to run for office someday, so to see over 100+ women gaining seats in our government is inspiring to say the absolute least.
Favorite movie or TV show?
I’m a huge movie buff, so the movie question is always tough, but if I had to choose, The Shawshank Redemption. TV show: way too hard to pick just one, but in my next life I hope I’m Olivia Pope. 😉
Lavender lattes, ice rolling, and rose water spray!
Avocado toast with honey & cinnamon! Perfect pre-workout snack or mid-day pick me up!
What’s one piece of advice you would give younger you?
Oh gosh, there’s so many things I’d tell younger Maggie. But at the top of the list is to stop giving so much merit to what other people say or think. I think one of the best qualities we can learn and develop as we grow and are challenged is the ability to trust ourselves and our intuition. You can ask every person on the planet for advice on a specific topic, and you’ll hear a million different answers. I wish I had trusted myself a little more when I was younger to make decisions on my own. It’s definitely an evolution and a process, but I’m getting much better at trusting my own gut as I get older.
What’s your unique talent?
Well, I’ve been a baton twirler for about 17 years. Miss Congeniality, anyone? 😂 But I can also touch my tongue to my nose, can juggle, and I’ve got double jointed shoulders. 😅
Favorite fashion trend, past or present?
Do y’all remember gaucho pants? 😂 Just kidding! But I love a good bell bottom pant and button up shirt. Think Jamie Lee Curtis in the original “Halloween.” The seventies is my jam for fashion trends!
One item on your bucket list?
Skydiving, and taking myself on a huge trip abroad alone.
Favorite guilty pleasure song
“Believe” by Cher 😎😂
